Legacy
Andrzej Ziemiański is one of the leading figures in contemporary Polish fantasy. The Achaia series is regarded as a landmark work in the genre. His novels and short stories have achieved popular success and been translated into Czech, Slovak and Russian. He has also contributed to creative writing education.
Trivia
- Published under the pen name Patrick Shoughnessy for some works.
- Studied architecture and earned a PhD in technical sciences in 1992.
- Reportedly sold over 500,000 copies of his books by 2012.
- Co-founder and first chief editor (until 2001) of the internet SF fanzine Fahrenheit (est. 1997).
