Anne Born introduced major Scandinavian writers to English-speaking readers through her translations and was highly regarded as a translator. In 2013 the Poetry Society established the Anne Born Prize in her memory. Her poetry press Overstep Books, which she ran from 1992 to 2008, is also part of her legacy.
