Legacy
Binapani Mohanty was a significant Odia short story writer, widely acclaimed for works portraying society and family from women's perspectives. A recipient of the Sahitya Akademi Award and the Padma Shri, she had a substantial influence on contemporary Odia literature.

- The short story 'Patadei' was published as 'Lata' in Femina (1986) and dramatized in Hindi as 'Kashmakash' on Doordarshan in 1987.
