Legacy

Cao Yan was a member of the Cao family in the Three Kingdoms period and was enfeoffed as the Prince of Guangping in 222. He died the following year without heirs and his princedom was abolished. Though his life was short and he left few political achievements, he is recorded in genealogical sources as a member of the Cao clan.
