Legacy
A Catalan journalist and writer who has published columns, essays and novels for decades. She was a finalist for the Premio Planeta in 1997 and is well known in Spanish media, sometimes for controversial opinion pieces.
Trivia
- Began her career at the newspaper Pueblo in 1975 and contributed to the magazine Viva from 1976.
- Finalist for the Premio Planeta in 1997 with Mi corazón que baila con espigas.
- In 2008 the Spanish Supreme Court ordered Rigalt and El Mundo to pay €30,000 over a defamation case involving singer Alejandro Sanz.
- In 2018 a column comparing central Madrid traffic restrictions to the Warsaw Ghetto drew widespread criticism.
- Married to journalist Antonio Casado and has two sons (one is a diplomat and the other a writer and archaeology expert).
