Legacy

A writer and editor who made significant contributions to the preservation and teaching of the Gikuyu language. He left a large personal archive (around 7,000 pages), now held at the Centre of African Studies, University of Cambridge. His works, once banned, were later incorporated into primary school Gikuyu language syllabi.
