Regarded as one of the most influential Hungarian actors of the 20th century. Committed to the National Theatre's Hall of Fame in 1925 and one of the first recipients of the Kossuth Prize in 1948. Her former resort is now the Bajor Gizi Actor's Museum.

  • During World War II, she hid deserted soldiers and families in her resort, including her third husband.
  • In 1951, her mentally ill third husband Tibor Germán killed her and himself fearing she was threatened by diseases.
