Recognized as a prominent Tamil poet in Singapore, recipient of several awards including the Cultural Medallion.

Trivia

  • In 1951, his mother and three younger brothers died of cholera, after which he and his father moved to Singapore.
  • He wrote over 200 songs for Radio Singapore's children's music programme 'Let Us Sing'.
