Legacy
Through her multifaceted roles as poet, editor and publisher, she influenced the American avant-garde poetry scene. By running Telephone Books and Telephone magazine she supported numerous writers, and her work with the St. Mark's Poetry Project and in teaching has mentored later generations. Her papers are held at UC San Diego.
