評価・遺産
Vera Duarte is a leading Cape Verdean poet and human rights activist. She was an inaugural recipient of the North–South Prize in 1995 and is the only Cape Verdean to have won the Tchicaya U Tam'si Prize for African Poetry (2001). Having served in the judiciary and government — including as Minister of Education — she has had significant cultural and political influence.
