2008 Mystery / CrimeFollows Nayir ash-Sharqi, a Palestinian guide, as he investigates the murder of a young girl who disappeared three days before her arranged marriage. The novel draws on the author's experience in Saudi Arabia to portray social constraints and women's lives there.
City of Veils
2010 Mystery / CrimeFeatures Nayir and Katya from Finding Nouf investigating the body of a woman found on a beach. The victim was a filmmaker working on a subversive film about the origins of the Qur'an, and the investigation uncovers social and cultural tensions.
