説明
The European Book Prize (Le Prix du Livre Européen) is a literary award established in 2007, organized by the Paris-based organization Esprit d'Europe. It aims to promote European values and help citizens better understand the European Union as a cultural entity. Eligible works are books published in the previous year in EU member states (original language or translation), with two main categories: essays (essai) and novels/narratives (romans et récits). The organizers create a longlist, the sponsor team narrows it to a shortlist of about 7 titles, and finally a jury composed of journalists and writers selects the winning works.
