Taivaanpallo is a historical novel set on Saint Helena and in London in the sixteen-eighties, following the boy Angus as his encounter with Edmond Halley draws him toward the world of astronomy. Science and faith, colonial unease, and violence against his family converge, making observation and survival part of the same journey.

Through the eyes of a boy learning to chart the stars, the dawn of Enlightenment meets the unrest of an island world.
