Bharatha Sindhu Rashmi, the magnum opus of Vinayaka Krishna Gokak (V. K. Gokak), is an epic poem of over 35,000 lines composed in Kannada, depicting the Vedic age of ancient India. Drawing on mythology, philosophy, and folk tradition, the work reconstructs the spiritual and cultural heritage of early Indian civilization on a grand scale. Gokak received the Jnanpith Award in 1990 for this monumental achievement.
