Description
Hadiah Sastera Perdana Malaysia (Malaysia Premier's Literary Award) is Malaysia's premier national literary award, established in 1971. It was awarded annually from 1971 to 1976 initially, with no awards given from 1977 to 1980. It was revived in 1981 and has generally been held biennially since then, recognizing achievements in three categories A/B/C. From the 1990/1991 season onward, only works published as books are eligible, and it took its current name in the 1996/1997 season.
