Description

The oldest annual award for Dutch short speculative fiction, founded in 1976 by Rob Vooren. Originally known as the King Kong Award, it was later renamed Millennium Prijs, then Paul Harland Prijs (from 2004), and most recently Harland Prijs (from 2023). Organized by Stichting Fantastisch Genre in collaboration with Hebban.nl, the competition accepts stories up to 7,500 words across genres including SF, fantasy, horror, and magical realism. The winner receives €1,000 and the top five stories are published in a free Hebban ebook.
