Description

Prix du Quai des Orfèvres is an annual French literary prize established in 1946, targeting anonymous unpublished French police novels (polar). Selection is conducted by a jury chaired by the Paris Police Chief, with 15 works shortlisted annually and the winner determined in the final round. Since 1965, winning works have been published by Fayard. The prize includes a 50,000-copy publishing contract with Fayard and a cash award (777 euros), and it holds high prestige in the genre, also known as the 'Goncourt des Polars'.
