説明
Writers and Illustrators of the Future is a contest for new stories and illustrations initiated by L. Ron Hubbard in 1983, with the first awards ceremony held in 1985. The writers' division is held quarterly, undergoing blind review to select the top 3 each quarter (quarterly prizes: $1000/$750/$500). The four quarterly first-place entries compete for the annual Gold Award (additional $5000). The illustration division requires submission of a 3-piece portfolio, with up to 3 selected quarterly; the annual Gold Award is determined solely by the final illustration works (Grand Prize $5000). Winning entries are included in the annual anthology, and winners are invited to workshops and the awards ceremony. Organized by Author Services Inc. (Galaxy Press), no entry fee required. Note that there are discussions surrounding the publisher and operators (connections to Scientology-related organizations).
