The last collection of stories by an author once described as the "American Chekhov". The seven stories are written in the simplest of styles, mirroring the rhythms of everyday life. In "Errand", the final story in the collection, Carver imagines the last days of his mentor - Chekhov.

A Good Writer
Raymond Carver is a writer I like. He writes about the human condition wonderfully. If you like your fiction more action based, you might not enjoy his work—you may find it dull.

Genial
Todos sabíamos que los últimos siete cuentos de Carver iban a ser geniales. El ultimo es casi una meta ficción de su vida escribiendo sobre el último cuento de Chéjov, todo muy impresionante.

Longest stories are the best (not as usual)
My favorite Carver's collection. Speaking of Carver's work, you are usually said that the shorter is the best; it's the other way around here: longer are these stories better they are. Especially the last two. My guess is If Carver had had a few more years to live, he would eventually have written a novel.

Great to find a Carver book I had never read. Wish there were more!
