Where are they now?
This book won the Carnegie Medal within living memory, but, it has become neglected. It should still be read. It does what good stories do. It takes you to a different time and place while touching the here and now.

Excelleny childrens book (local interest)t
My children loved this book , the type of book although dated is the type of material my kids enjoy, touch of Enid Blyton.
