原題『POSTCARDS FROM NO MAN'S LAND』。

I'm loving this book, and this edition is perfect , there's no mistakes, cover is so pretty, and plot is so original, there are many sentences that I had to highlight becouse of their beautiful or insipiring meaning specially related to love and art. There is a multinarration structure ,past narrated from Geertrui, and presente narrated by Jacob, when he meets geertrui's granchild Daan,Daan says that asking to geertrui What true love is She responded him : "love, real love is observing another person and being observing by another person ,with complete attention". When I read It , i thought there could not ne any other better definition for love , real love and at same time for art ,which is the topic the two characthers sere discussing about ,and which led to the reflexion that all good art is watchin with the right attention, watchin carefully at our own subjects ,noticing everyone detail , making them ours , reflecting our affect and passion and feelings for what or in that case ,better whom, is being pictured.

I chose to read this book for an analysis paper for one of my college classes. Quickly, I found myself reading it for pleasure, forgetting to notate and highlight as I went on. This is a lovely book that I would recommend for any adolescent. Jacob is a character that is honest and confused and angsty- very relatable. At times, he says and feels things that most are afraid to admit to themselves. Easy read, relatable characters. Minus one star because I loathe unsatisfying endings.
