Reviews

  • It is well worth sticking with this story in spite of the constant state of disorientation it produces. Your head is in a blender and that is exactly the point. I've fallen head over heels in love with Cadigan's writing, and I'll be gobbling up the rest of it with glee.

  • This book is unapologetically cyberpunk. Like the best of the genre it causes the reader to question both identity and reality. If memory is tied to personal identity, and memories can be bought and sold, how do you know who you are? How do you know what or who else is in your head? It's pacy with a noir-ish twist to it, and like many of Cadigan's books it crackles with energy and imagination. I enjoyed this book immensely and would recommend it for sci-fi fans.

  • Writing about someone who's memory has been tampered with is a challenge and this didn't quite manage it. 30% of the way through it was still bafflingly confusing and I gave up.
