• The Book is a Many-Splendored Thing

This is, of course, the book that the 1955 movie with William Holden and Jennifer Jones was based on. I saw the movie first, then read the book. I was surprised at how faithful the movie was to the book. Many of the best lines in the movie are taken directly from the book. The book is autobiographical, about a one-year love affair between the author, Han Suyin, and a British war correspondent named Mark Elliot. The book is beautifully written, very poetic and philosophical. It also sheds some light on the Korean War and the politics of that time. I highly recommend this book!

• Great book good service.

  Excellent

• As described

Book arrived in fine condition, as described for its age. Haven’t read it yet: it’s the true story on which the movie “Love is a Many Splendored Thing” is based.
