Reviews
-
Its heavy (literally) - but brilliant.
This is a heavy tome - you will not be bringing this back and forth to your local coffee shop for browsing. But its beautifully put together and very comprehensive for students of the era. Starts in the early 1800s to give the backdrop. Maps and illustrations galore. Gives attention to events not so well covered in the past - the tithe war, the land war, the gradual extinction during the late 1800s of the Anglo Irish Big House. Its for browsing intermittently on the coffee table over tea, more than a full sit down cover to cover........

"Unveiling Ireland's Struggle: A Comprehensive Review of the Atlas of the Irish Revolution"
"The Atlas of the Irish Revolution offers a meticulous exploration of Ireland's struggle for independence from English dominion, a deeply emotive subject that continues to reverberate across political divides. This weighty tome, though physically imposing with its small font, serves as an invaluable resource for those passionate about understanding the pivotal events that have shaped Ireland's contemporary landscape. My commendations to the authors for their exhaustive and comprehensive account, illuminating the intricate tapestry of Ireland's tumultuous past."

Époustouflant!
Ce livre est tout simplement fantastique. La somme des analyses et des réflexions constitue une œuvre extraordinaire qui retrace toute la question de la révolution irlandaise. Magnifique.

Serious history
Not the cheapest volume but beautifully produced and wonderful essays. Have a similarly good volume on 1840s famine. Both had tv series based on them although the one based on the Revolution only focusses on the War of Independence.

Required reading for the start of a free Ireland
A substantial collection of studies to The Rising and background. Many scholars. Well illustrated. If you are a serious student on the start of the independent Irish state, this is a required tome. It is great value for the price, also it weighs a ton. .
