Love this book because it answered a lot of the questions that weren't answered in the Women of Brewster Place. This book is the complete back stories of the Men of Brewster Place. In the book and the movie the women of Brewster Place, didn't explain why Eugene left his wife after their daughter's death. In this book, it was surprising that he lived a double life of the "down low" and felt guilty about it.

This 1999 is a response to the 1982 novel, "The Women Of Brewster Place". It gave a lot of closure to what happened to the male characters, as well as new characters that were not mentioned in the 1982 novel. Oprah Winfrey had a remarkable acting cast to work with for the 1989 film, "The Women Of Brewster Place" and she will be remaking it for 2013 with an entire different cast. I wish she would produce a new film for "The Men Of Brewster Place", because it would make a fantastic mini-TV series. I wonder if she has read the book.

I enjoyed this novel a great deal. It was a good read and the author, Gloria Naylor, closed the sequel triumphantly. This novel was for a class assignment. I ordered the book, and it was delivered in a timely manner.

This sequel is the best! It explained a lot of points that were missing from Women of Brewster place and definitely answered the question of what happened to Basil. I now have closure.

Condition wasn't terrible, but could've been better for a "new book".
