It took me to my childhood, as well as the sixties, and now.
Having grown up in San Bernardino (Berdoo), I know the area that is the subject of Dr. Delgado's poetry. The photography was excellent, too. I enjoyed his method of presenting a story with each poem. It took me to my childhood, as well as the sixties, and now.

Thoughtful
I'm enjoying this book very much. The photo choices and poetry are both very thoughtfully and artfully crafted. The connections to the Latino community are interesting.

Beautiful photos of the hand painted signage of San Bernadino CA accompanied with evocative poetry of the lives of Mexican Americans.
