19世紀以前の定説を崩壊させた歴史ある作品
『小説とは、物語の展開に主人公の性格が歯車のように噛み合う必要がある』『話の展開に、内容から導かれる必然性、言わば説得力をもたらす必要がある』などと言った19世紀以前にあった『小説とはかくあるべし』という主張に一石を投じた作品です。 この作品は『キャラの造形が誰が誰であっても別に構わない』という体で書かれているため、昨今の小説にのみ触れている方々においては批判の声が上がるのは仕方の無いことだと思います。 そのため、読む層、読む人の価値観によって明確な右翼と左翼が生まれる作品になります。 文学の道を歩む者として、僕はこの作品を『小説の多様化の起源となる歴史ある作品』と捉えているため、とても高い評価があります。 と同時に、中途半端な文学好き、ライトノベル等21世紀の文化の中でのみ生きてきた方には、決しておすすめ出来ない作品です。
