Questo Novecento
Based on a series of lectures, the book revisits twentieth-century Italian history through politics, society, and memory. It is both memoir and a dialogue with the century itself.
Work Information
The twentieth century is reread in the words of someone who lived through it.
An essay that looks back on war, fascism, resistance, and postwar politics as the defining experiences of a personal century.
Review Summaries
-
Readers value the book’s ethical clarity and its broad historical perspective. Because it moves like an essay, it is often read as a dialogic reflection rather than as a plot-driven narrative.
