A wise tale of a little princess who wanted the moon and got it. “Grown-ups themselves will find the book hilariously funny. . . . The lovely, squiggly illustrations in color are exactly right.”-- The New Yorker
James Thurber (1894-1961), one of America's most renowned humorists, was a staff writer and regular contributor to the New Yorker , where his short stories, essays, and cartoons were published for over 30 years. He wrote several books for children.
レビュー
-
I loved this book many moons ago when I was a child. Over 70 years ago! It may not be up to current PC standards but it is a wonderful story. If I still remember it fondly from way back then, it is worth having!
-
Beautifully illustrated and as imaginative clever and whimsical as you will expect from James Thurber. The princess falls ill from..."a surfeit of raspberry tarts" ... Just brilliant!

I love this book! Great story!
-
It’s James Thurber! What’s there not to like? And the beautiful delicate illustrations! Every child should read this:)
-
Très facile à lire en anglais, et c’est une merveilleuse histoire sur la perception des enfants par rapport à celle des adultes.
