I had read it in the past and I love the images the author paints with words
Our literature group just started the book. I had read it in the past and I love the images the author paints with words. The story grabs the reader from the beginning. The book is actually two novellas based on fairy tales. The author is a master storyteller. Great book.

Magical!
Great book written by one of the best storytellers in the world. Ok, the best storyteller in the world, Gioia Timpanelli. I keep ordering this book because my friends keep stealing mine off my bookshelves! Wondrous words by someone who knows about love, myth, and magic.

A mix of myth, story, and everyday
A refreshing book that tugs at the imagination and the heart. The rhythm and the images are enough to capture you and take you to a place that works like a spell.

Her deep insights are almost buried in the beauty of her words, but not quite, which is why one returns. This beauty has depth.
