Legacy

A representative Uruguayan poet and considered the last surviving member of the Generation of '45. Recipient of numerous international prizes; her achievements have had significant impact on contemporary Spanish-language poetry. The 2018 Cervantes Prize marks international recognition of her lifetime work.
