Legacy

Founded in 1972 in London, Index on Censorship is a non-profit organization and quarterly magazine campaigning for freedom of expression. Inspired by Soviet dissidents, it documents censorship globally, publishes banned works, and hosts the annual Freedom of Expression Awards to honor courageous journalists, artists, and activists.
