2012 non-fiction / adventure / mountaineering history

A non-fiction account of the 2008 K2 disaster told from the perspectives of Sherpas and Pakistani high-altitude porters. Co-authored with Amanda Padoan, the book emphasizes local testimony and explores the structures and cultural tensions of high-altitude mountaineering.
