Tarannum Riyaz was a respected Urdu-language writer whose poetry, fiction, and essays explored women's perspectives and memory. Her work has been studied at Indian universities and she served as a senior fellow at the Ministry of Culture.
豆知識
- Her husband, scholar Riyaz Punjabi, died in April 2021; Tarannum Riyaz died of COVID-19 about a month later.
- Her works are reported to have been the subject of M.Phil. and Ph.D. research at several universities (citation needed).
