Description
The DSC Prize for South Asian Literature, established in 2010 by Surina Narula and Manhad Narula, is an international literary prize targeting long novels on South Asia (works written in English or translated into English). The winning work must be a long novel published in the year prior to the selection. The purpose is to introduce outstanding works about the South Asian region internationally.

- For translated works, credit and recognition for the translator (may be jointly awarded)

Criteria
- Theme centered on South Asia (culture, politics, history, people, etc.)
- Written in English or accompanied by a high-quality English translation
- Published in the year prior to selection (publication year eligibility)
- Literary quality, originality, depth of theme, narrative strength
- For translated works, translation quality is also evaluated
