Description
Carnegie Medal for Illustration (formerly Kate Greenaway Medal) is the UK's annual award for children's book illustration organized by CILIP (Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals). Targets illustrated works for children first published in the UK, with text (if present) required to be in English. Judging consists of nominations by CILIP professional staff and a panel of librarians from the organization's Youth Interest Group. Winners receive a gold medal and book donations, plus a cash prize established by a bequest.

- First published in the UK (target period: previous school year, September–August)
- If text is present, it must be in English (or bilingual publication including English)
