Description
Premios de la Crítica is a literary award presented annually by Asociación Española de Críticos Literarios (Spanish Literary Critics Association), selecting the best narrative and poetry works published in Spain in the previous year by each of Spain's four official languages (Castilian/Spanish, Catalan, Galician, Basque). The award does not include monetary prize money, and judging is conducted by a panel (22 members) composed of association members. Establishment years for each category: Castilian categories in 1956, Catalan categories first awarded in 1962 with a second award in 1976 and regularization in 1978, Galician in 1976, Basque in 1978.
