Description
The Prix Anne-Hébert was established in 2000 by Robert Desbiens to commemorate the writer Anne Hébert. It is awarded annually to the first fiction work (debut) written in French by a writer from Quebec, with prize money of CAD 7,500. Sponsored by Centre culturel canadien à Paris and Société Radio-Canada. Past winners include Maryse Barbance (Toxiques) in 2001, Nicolas Dickner (Nikolski) in 2006, and others.
