Description
The SFRA Pioneer Award is an academic award given by the Science Fiction Research Association (SFRA) to the best "criticism/research" essay (essay-length critical work) of the year. Winning works are selected from criticism and research papers published in academic journals or essay collections. The name was changed to SFRA Innovative Research Award in 2019. The list of winners has been published since 1990 (No Award in 1993).
