Description

The Sir Julius Vogel Awards (Sir Julius Vogel Award, commonly known as Vogels) are annual awards that recognize achievements in science fiction, fantasy, horror works, and fan activities in New Zealand. Started in 1989 and reorganized in 2002 to the current name and structure (operated by SFFANZ). Awards are presented in multiple categories, including professional and fan divisions, with winners typically announced at the New Zealand National SF Convention. The awards recognise achievement in New Zealand science fiction, fantasy, horror and fandom and are presented at the New Zealand National Science Fiction Convention.
