説明
Established in 2006. Awarded to adult fiction and nonfiction published in the past year that deepen understanding of others' cultures, religions, and political views. Each category winner receives $10,000 in cash. Established as a derivative of the Dayton Peace Prize, with the ceremony mainly held in Dayton, Ohio in the fall. Since 2011, the former Lifetime Achievement Award has been renamed the Richard C. Holbrooke Distinguished Achievement Award (honorarium $10,000).
