Description
The Best Crime Novel in Swedish Translation (Swedish: Bästa översatta kriminalroman; formerly the Martin Beck Award, 1996–2009) is an annual award presented by the Swedish Crime Writers' Academy (Svenska Deckarakademin) to the best crime novel translated into Swedish. Established in 1971, it is one of the most prestigious international crime fiction translation awards. Winners receive a golden crowbar (gyllene kofot) and a diploma. The 2025 winner was Sebastian Barry for Old God's Time (Swedish title: Gamla Synders Skull).
