豆知識
- 本名は Karen Cooke（カレン・クック）。
- 十代の頃に古本屋でロナルド・シールやGeoffrey Willansの作品に触れ、初期の大きな影響を受けたと述べている。
- 1984年に漫画キャラクター『Hermoine the modern girl』を創作し、後に新聞の定期連載になった。
- 1997年にサトウキビパルプ製の紙で印刷したカレンダーを発売した。
- 2002年に『Living with Crazy Buttocks』でBookseller/Diagramの『年間最も奇妙なタイトル賞』を受賞した。
