Description

The Carl Zuckmayer Medal (Carl-Zuckmayer-Medaille) is a literary award (medal) presented by the state of Rhineland-Palatinate in memory of Carl Zuckmayer. The medal itself is crafted by the state's artist Otto Kallenbach, and recipients may also receive a 30-liter barrel of Nackenheimer wine from Weingut Gunderloch. The award is presented on January 18, the anniversary of Carl Zuckmayer's death.
