Description
The Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction targets nonfiction books by American authors that were published in the previous calendar year and are not eligible for other Pulitzer Prizes (e.g., Biography or History). Established in 1962, since 1980, 1 to 3 finalists have been announced along with the winning work. The selection is conducted by the jury (experts) and the Pulitzer Prize Board, and the winner is announced every April.
