Description
The Vallathol Award was established in 1991 by Vallathol Sahithya Samithi to recognize outstanding contributions to Malayalam literature. It was created in memory of Vallathol Narayana Menon and awarded annually from 1991 to 2019. Winners receive a cash prize (₹111,111) and a plaque. A total of 29 individuals have received the award, with the first recipient being Pala Narayanan Nair and the last being Paul Zacharia.
