The Edgar Allan Poe Awards (commonly known as Edgars) is an award hosted annually by Mystery Writers of America, named after Edgar Allan Poe. It honors outstanding works and writers in multiple categories, targeting mystery novels, short stories, nonfiction, television, films, theater, etc., that were published or produced/performed in the previous year. In addition to major categories, there are numerous others such as Grand Master (lifetime achievement award), Raven Award (industry contribution), Ellery Queen Award, various newcomer awards, and theme-specific awards. Results are announced on the official website and at the awards ceremony.
