Description
The Padmarajan Award (Padmarajan Puraskaram) was established in 1992 by the Padmarajan Memorial Trust in memory of writer and filmmaker P. Padmarajan. It began with two categories: short story award and film (feature film) award, and later added novel award, director award, screenplay award, etc. Primarily targeting Malayalam literary works and films as well as their creators, it is selected and awarded by a judging committee appointed by the Trust, with announcements typically around May each year.
