Description
The Aspekte-Literaturpreis was established in 1979 and is awarded annually to the best debut novel written in German. A panel of judges consisting of writers, critics, and scholars conducts the selection, sponsored by ZDF's arts program 'Aspekte'. The prize money is 10,000 euros. Past winners include Felicitas Hoppe and Herta Müller, and winning can lead to subsequent recognition and attention.
