Description
Grand prix Afrique (formerly Grand prix littéraire d'Afrique noire) is a literary award awarded annually by ADELF (Association des écrivains de langue française) to original French-language works from sub-Saharan Africa. It is considered one of the major awards in Francophone African literature. It is said that there was a donation of 2,000 francs at its establishment.
